Danio rerio is a small striped fish from South Asia. It is also one of the most-studied animals on the planet: transparent embryos, a heart that grows back, and labs on every continent keeping thousands of them in tidy racks.
d.rerio started in 2017 as an inside joke for those labs. It's back, now with fruit flies and worms too, and more organisms on the way.
